“Science enthusiast, still trying to grow watermelons in Stockholm”
I'm currently a visiting Master's student in the Neuhauss Lab, where I'm exploring retinoid metabolism and cone photoreception using the zebrafish eye as a model.
This internship is part of my Master's program in Translational Physiology and Pharmacology at the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, where I also completed my BSc in Biomedicine.
My passion for studying the eye began during my bachelor's thesis, where I worked on developing and characterizing a mouse model of the retina for Parkinson’s disease research (Pete Williams Lab, KI). I also had the opportunity to study how mitochondrial dysfunction contributes to neurodegeneration (Roberta Filograna Group, KI).
Outside the lab, I love spending time reading, gardening, and traveling.
