Postdoctoral Fellow
Dr. Masha Cherepkova
Office Y55-L-34
Masha is a postdoctoral researcher with a background in synthetic biology and genome engineering. She completed her PhD at the Department of Biosystems Science and Engineering (D-BSSE), ETH Zurich, where she worked on the development of CRISPR-Cas-based transcriptional recording technologies. Her research interests lie in gene regulation and cell fate determination, particularly in how transcription factors shape cellular identity. Masha is fascinated by how transient molecular events can lead to stable and defined cell phenotypes, and she is passionate about developing new technologies to better understand dynamic cell functions.
Outside the lab, Masha enjoys exploring nature, scuba diving, open-water swimming, and volunteering in civic initiatives.
