Marcel was born in Zurich. After his apprenticeship in mechanical engineering at the ETH, he worked as a technician at different companies (ETH Mechanical Workshop, Heptagon, AMS AG, New Behavior AG, TSE AG). Marcel joined the University of Zurich in 2004 and now offers his services for mechanical work at the Department of Evolutionary Biology and Environmental Studies (IEU), the Department of Molecular Life Sciences (DMLS) and others.
