PhD Student
Göksu Bayrak
Göksu completed her undergraduate studies at Boğaziçi University in Istanbul, where she developed a passion for cellular biochemistry. She then pursued a master’s degree in biochemistry at ETH Zürich. During her master’s, she investigated nucleolar reorganization in response to stress, specifically upon RNA Polymerase I inhibition. In November 2024, she joined the Voigt lab as a PhD student, focusing on the mechanisms that modulate IRE1 activity and thereby regulate the unfolded protein response (UPR) using single-molecule imaging techniques.
