Conny was born in Ulm, Germany. After her education as Animal Technician at the University of Ulm she moved to Karlsruhe and was supervising the team in the Specific Pathogen Free (SPF) Mouse Facility at the Institute of Toxicology and Genetics (ITG) at Karlsruher Institute of Technology (KIT) for seven years. In 2007 she was looking for a new challenge and joined the Laboratory Animal Service (LAR) at EMBL Heidelberg. There, she changed in 2016 from LAR to Francesca Peri’s Lab to gain more experience in the aquatic field. In February 2017 she moved to Zürich to establish the Fish Facility at the UZH and is working since then as Fish Lab Manager for Francesca Peri and Darren Gilmour.

Outside the lab she is doing different kind of sports and enjoys meeting friends.
