BSc studies

The BSc in biology at the University of Zurich (UZH) offers a wide range of different biological specializations, organized by making different institutes at the Faculty of Science and the Faculty of Medicine, making the UZH a top location for studying biology.

A further enrichment of the BSc at the UZH was achieved in 2006 by the implementation of the International Biology Undergraduate Summer School (BUSS) . Ths initiative aims to give undergraduate students in an international environment the chance of performing a real research project in one of the research groups at the UZH. During this summer school, students are additionally trained in scientific communication and reasoning. The Hengartner lab participate in the BUSS initiative by hosting summer school students every summer.
