Y13-K-76 / Lab Y13-K-48
Alexandra comes from Liverpool in the United Kingdom. She obtained her Biomedical Sciences MSci degree at Newcastle University. While completing her Master’s degree research project in neuroblastoma at the Northern Institute for Cancer Research at Newcastle University, she became fascinated with the intricate cellular and molecular mechanisms occurring throughout development, particularly within the nervous system. She therefore decided to pursue her interest in neurodevelopment by studying a PhD at the University of Zurich. Her joint PhD project with the Stoeckli lab and Bachmann-Gagescu lab focuses on the role of the primary cilia during neural circuit development. In her free time, Alexandra loves to spend time outdoors hiking and skiing and also loves to bake and knit.
